Les founded and has been the President and CEO of BioSTAT Consultants, Inc. since its inception in 1994. He has more than 25 years experience in the pharmaceutical industry as a statistician in toxicology and human clinical trials. His undergraduate degrees are in mathematics and economics from Wittenberg University and his graduate degree is in statistics from Virginia Tech. In addition to authoring and co-authoring numerous articles pertaining to the use of statistics in toxicology, he recently served on the “Neurodevelopmental Endpoints Expert Panel” organized by ILSI. Les is an active member of the American Statistical Association and the Society of Toxicology.

Roger joined BioSTAT Consultants in 2001 to provide statistical and programming support for preclinical studies. Roger has over 10 years of experience providing statistical work in the pharmaceutical industry. He received undergraduate training in biology at the University of Nebraska, graduate training in biostatistics at the University of Nebraska and graduate training in business at Baker University. Roger started his statistical career at Pharmaceutical Research Associates as a Statistician in 1998. During his tenure there he was responsible for the analysis of phase 1-3 clinical studies and several post-marketing studies. He was involved in sales presentations of statistical and programming services to potential clients and in the development of system development life cycle documentation for new software programs. During his final year at PRA he helped establish a PK analysis department which was responsible for the analysis of all Phase 1 clinical studies. He is a member of Drug Information Association (DIA) and an avid Husker fan.

Tom joined BioSTAT Consultants as a Statistical Consultant in 2008. He has worked for over 30 years in drug discovery and development for the pharmaceutical industry. His experience spans professional and senior managerial responsibilities in statistics, specializing in the nonclinical areas: Pharmaceutical Sciences, Pharmacology, Toxicology, High Throughput Screening, Drug Metabolism, and Genomics. Tom received an undergraduate degree in mathematics from Western Michigan University and graduate degrees in Biostatistics and Mathematics with a Concentration in Statistics from the same institution. Tom has participated in the Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America as an elected member of the Biostatistics and Data Management Group. He has authored or coauthored over fifty publications, a book, and several book chapters.
Angela McKenzie, BS, MBA Project Coordinator & Archivist Email:

Angela joined BioSTAT Consultants in November 2006. She began her career in science education, but transitioned soon after into the pharmaceutical industry. Currently the only non-statistician on staff, Angela’s professional experience includes early development drug discovery research, as well as pre-clinical work as a study coordinator in developmental and reproductive toxicology. She received her undergraduate degree in biology from the University of Michigan, and a business degree from Cornerstone University. As project coordinator and archivist, Angela’s responsibilities are centered on scheduling, client communication, business development, archive maintenance, as well as GLP-compliance oversight. She is an active member of the Society of Quality Assurance, as well as the Mid West Chapter of the Society of Quality Assurance.
